Ammar Rayes Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Machine-to-Machine Technology

Dr. Rayes works to standardize technology services among major companies and universities

SAN RAMON, CA, August 23, 2013, Ammar Rayes, Distinguished Engineer at Cisco and President of the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in machine-to-machine technology.

Dr. Rayes has 15 years of experience as a distinguished engineer and ISSIP President of Cisco Services. Over the years, he has established himself as an expert in machine-to-machine technology. In the course of his duties, he is responsible for co-managing the overall technology strategy and solutions as an engineer at Cisco. Dr. Rayes attends conferences daily, both in person over the phone. He also serves as the ISSIP president, working with IBM, HP and universities to standardize technology services. Dr. Reyes reaches out to universities and research institutions to influence services in technology and business. He has been teaching a graduate course at San Jose part-time for the past five years, primarily working with systems and information engineering curriculum. Dr. Rayes attributes his success to his passion for technology and learning. He became involved in his profession because he has always had an interest in technology, and has been continuously advancing.

Dr. Rayes received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of IEEE and ACM. In 2013, he received Cisco Chairman's Choice Award for his work on Internet of Things and Machine to Machine (IoT/M2M). To benefit others, he collects food for the needy. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and exercising. In years to come, Dr. Rayes plans to stay updated on the latest technology in the industry, and look for younger leaders to groom for the future.
