Anita Hallman Kowalski Interweaves Knitting and Writing Skills as Head of Successful Business

Anita Hallman Kowalski specializes in crocheting and writing, and has developed three different family books on ancestry

OAK CREEK, WISCONSIN, November 27, 2013, Angie's Tidbits Creator Anita Hallman Kowalski has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in crocheting and writing.

With more than 35 years of professional experience under her belt, Ms. Kowalski shines as a luminary in her field, bringing forth a sprawling and diverse skill set to her thriving business. She specializes in crocheting, and the creation of prayer shawls, baby blankets, crutch toppers, wristies, hats, scarves, purses, bags, decorative baskets, and pillows. She currently manages her company, where she also teaches and collaborates with others on crochet projects, and demonstrates her strong writing skills.

Prior to her establishment of Angie's Tidbits, Ms. Kowalski worked for five different Catholic Churches, and for the Diocese of Milwaukee for 35 years. She was the program director of the Community Center, a teacher of community courses, as well. She is currently a grant writer of various grants for the Family Life Center. Ms. Kowalski has developed three different family books on ancestry, so she can help anyone who needs suggestions.

Ms. Kowalski attributes her success to her heritage, determination and education. She became involved in her recent profession when her granddaughter encouraged her to start her own company crocheting crutch toppers for her crutches. They have been the recipients of her wares so far. As for working with churches, her life experiences led her there. The highlight of her career was the development of the Family Life Center, a family resource center still in operation after 20 years, where she learned to be a great listener. In teaching, counseling, and working with children, teens and adults, the greatest gift she could give them was to be a listener, and she had to work at that.

Ms. Kowalski received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Religious Studies from Alverno College and a Master's Degree in Adult Education from the University of Wisconsin, and she also holds a Certificate in Advertising Art. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with Alverno Alumni and UWM Alumni. She is a former member of the Wisconsin Writers Association, and a pastoral associate of the Catholic Church. She is a recipient of the Adult Education Award for Development of a Family Resource Center, she has published several job-related articles in magazines, and she has also been inducted into Who's Who Colleges. Ms. Kowalski is a trusted teacher, a prayer leader at a local Catholic Church, and a donor at a local Catholic Church's Sister Parish.

In her spare time, Ms. Kowalski enjoys working out, studying genealogy, writing, reading and playing with her grandchildren. In the years to come, Ms. Kowalski will still be crocheting, doing ancestry work and traveling.
