Christine Marie Named VIP of the Year by Worldwide Who’s Who

Christine Marie Provides Coverage of Geniuses in Technology through her Online Magazine

LAS VEGAS, April 22, 2013, Christine Marie Katas, Founder of Technorazzi Magazine, Voices for Dignity, iMedia Candy and co-founder of Contagious Apps was named VIP of the Year by Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Online Media. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success, particularly in the digital world.

Marie is a former kindergarten teacher who started her entrepreneurial career in 1992 by launching the Applebrook Family Enrichment network, a direct sales business which published and promoted family enrichment products that she developed, including educational and motivational systems for families and children. The Applebrook product line consisted of products to motivate children to do good things, be kind to one another, learn to read successfully and more.  The highlight of her career was when her family literacy program, called Early Learning Success, helped children learn to read joyfully and successfully while other systems made no impact. Christine led this company until 1999 when she began transitioning her concepts into the digital world.

Christine’s desire to help as many families and children as possible inspired her to expand into interactive media, create digital products, software and video. In 2002, she had an interactive television show on KPAL television which resulted in  her meeting Tolga Katas, a renowned IT software expert, record producer and photographer. The two of them developed a creatively synergistic partnership and were married in 2011.

Marie demonstrated further leadership as the co-founder and COO of en2go, a cutting-edge technology company that offered a state-of-the-art, cinema quality video streaming platform designed to enable people and companies have their own channels. At en2go, Marie was part of a brain trust that included Tolga Katas, John Draper, and other world-renowned technology and entertainment icons.

After en2go, Marie launched iMedia Candy, a boutique digital agency specializing in mobile apps, web properties, digital strategies, interactive publishing and cutting-edge technologies.  Marie now runs Technorazzi Magazine, an online magazine about techology pioneers, innovators, creative geniuses and savants; and is the founder of Voices for Dignity, an organization that offers technology, web sites, content and resources for individuals and organizations that take a stand against human trafficking, religious abuse and other forms of exploitation of women. Voices for Dignity also provides empowering photography and mentoring in online media to help survivors heal, grow, and share their stories. Finally, Marie is co-founder of Contagious Apps, a digital media company that, among other things, is preparing to launch a unique photo-sharing app called Fotoluv. The launch will coincide with the publishing of an accompanying pop culture and fashion magazine.

Marie received an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University. She is a former Young Mother of the Year, Mrs. Michigan, National Community Service Award winner, and has been a parent educator and family literacy advocate since 1992.  She has published 19 educational books.
