Edith Chears Honored for Excellence in Professional Coaching

Ms. Chears recognizes the value of “helping women reach their potential!”

Chicago, IL, November 25, 2015, Edith Chears, President of Mind Over Matter Instructions, Inc. has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in professional training, coaching, human performance improvement, and workforce development.

As the president of Mind Over Matter Instructions, Inc., Edith Chears makes it her mission to help other women overcome barriers, because she feels that women embody a treasure of unique strengths, wisdom and capabilities. Through her company, she offers her talents and love for learning to others via training and development. In the last 4 years, Ms. Chears expanded her business to include a pool of professional trainers from coast to coast, who work as an “extra pair of hands” for organizations merging, and rolling out new technologies. To prepare her for this role, she worked in the banking industry for 14 years, developing a passion for financial and leadership development training. It was at this point, she learned that helping women often means helping that woman’s friends, family, children, and a host of others. Thus, she dediced upon the acronym MOMI (sounds like Mommy) for her business.

Ms. Chears completed an undergraduate and master’s degree in human resource development, and she is near to completing a doctoral degree in organizational leadership. She has also earned numerous certifications and awards for her work with a variety of corporate, academic, and community entities.  To remain connected to other professionals in her industry, she became a member of the Chicago Chapter of the American Society of Trainers and Developers, the Workplace Learning and Performing Institute (WPLI), Alpha Chi Academic Honors Society and recently became a Brandeis Dissertation Scholar. In years to come, she intends to continue to grow professionally and help women master their goals.
