Janet Faye Brown Honored for her Nonprofit Work

EASTON, PA, March 5, 2015, Janet Faye Brown, M.Ed., President of TEACH Rwanda, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Brown has 44 years of professional experience, with two years as president of TEACH Rwanda. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in early childhood teacher education and educational publishing, as well as classroom coaching, curriculum design, children's learning materials and environment and photography to document children's learning. Each day, she continues to refine the TEACH Rwanda education philosophy and vision and provides continuing teacher education. She also reviews learning plans, manages the day-to-day-operations of the organization, and coordinates volunteers.

Looking back, Ms. Brown attributes her success to her natural curiosity, as well as her eagerness to learn and explore. She became involved in her profession because a number of her family members were in education. While working at a church during college, the church had opened a nursery school. It was then that she realized how challenging and rewarding it would be to work with young children.

Ms. Brown received a master's degree in early childhood education from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree in elementary and kindergarten education from The Pennsylvania State University.
