Jennifer Clarke Aims to End Educational Crime and Victimization

Jennifer Clarke advocates for social justice through Stop White Chalk Crime

ORANGE, TX, December 12, 2013, Legal Liaison Jennifer Clarke has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education and advocacy.

Jennifer was born and raised in Orange, Texas where she grew up with the majority of her family and enjoyed spending her childhood on the bayous and beaches of the varied landscapes that Southeast Texas has to offer. She enjoyed the performing arts for the majority of her childhood and even had the opportunity to travel to Russia with her performing dance company as a teen and dance on several stages. She has performed in many live theater performances and has even been a featured extra in a film. She has volunteered with several organizations in her lifetime including Habitat for Humanity and a Greyhound rescue foundation. Jennifer also had the opportunity to present several original works she has written in many forums and has published some of her original work online.

“Clarkey,” as her students often referred to her, believes her greatest achievement was being a classroom teacher, and it was one of the most rewarding and difficult positions she has ever had. She is a committed and dedicated mother and wife who enjoys spending time with her family, and despite hurdles such as cancer, Jennifer is a persistent and determined fighter. She believes as a member of a democratic republic, each individual has a responsibility to participate in society, and as such, she uses her strengths and passions to help others.

As the legal liaison and an executive board member of Stop White Chalk Crime, Jennifer Clarke has proved herself an expert in the fields of education and law. The Stop White Chalk Crime advocacy group focuses on educating the public and ending the pervasive and damaging nature of criminal activity that plagues the educational climate from elementary campuses to higher education. Clarke joined this organization after she was victimized herself and became inspired to help others put through similar ordeals.

Driven to end crime and abuse in the educational environment, she is passionate about social justice and a lifelong learner – these, she feels, are the reasons she has become such a success in the advocacy profession. Clarke works with victims of peer abuse, and other criminal activity, and offers these individuals a voice and a path for relief. She is also involved in case study analyses, as well as connecting victims with educational services, counseling, and other professional services to protect their rights.

Jennifer supports education, justice, and community activism. Having seen and experienced the problems associated with the pervasive culture of White Chalk Crime, Jennifer will use her skills and abilities to help the Stop White Chalk Crime team bring awareness to the public about the crimes that go unchecked and the victims that are often silenced. Jennifer hopes to the bridge the gap between the legal and educational world and help get victims of these abuses the assistance they deserve.

Clarke is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Lamar University, from which she earned a bachelor's degree in English. She has spent the last five years in the professional field and found her niche with Stop White Chalk Crime just under one year ago. Her goal is now to become a voice for the organization and, thus, play a larger role in educational and victims’ advocacy. Clarke belongs to the National Council of Teachers, Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Tau Delta, and was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding.
