Joe B. Gaboury Honored for Excellence in Risk Management
COLUMBIA, MO, April 27, 2015, Joe Gaboury, President and Founder of Traxia, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Mr. Gaboury has 28 years of experience, with five years as the president and founder of Traxia. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart as an expert in risk, as well as new business development and creation and gathering a team to produce and manage a created product. Each day, he places an emphasis on sales, marketing and management, and he is responsible for strategic planning and business development. Traxia is a point of sale and inventory management system that provides computer software for the consignment, antique mall, resale and thrift industries.
Mr. Gaboury has been an entrepreneur for 22 years and has owned businesses in a variety of industries, including software development and insurance. He states, “I am an entrepreneur who loves to create and establish businesses. I recently started Traxia, which has more than 450 users across the U.S. and Canada. Our business family is filled with fun and excitement as we recreate the way consignment and resale does software.”
Looking back, Mr. Gaboury attributes his success to the mercy of God, as well as his willingness to make himself uncomfortable to achieve his goals. He became involved in his profession because he has always found himself in entrepreneurial endeavors, even though he started in the corporate environment. The highlight of his career was the day his team stuck together in a difficult day and did not point any fingers. He feels that there is nothing more rewarding than seeing what you have assembled work through a crisis and have become stronger because of it.
Mr. Gaboury received a master's degree in recreation and park administration from the University of Missouri, a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in French from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and a bachelor's degree from Christian Fellowship Bible College. He is a member of the National Association of Resale and Thrift. In years to come, Mr. Gaboury expects to be involved in more oversight rather than hands-on work. He is looking closely into ways that he can give back to others with his success, and perhaps move on to his next project.
