Julia L. Stommes maintains affiliation with the American Immigration Lawyers Association-Northern California, Texas and Iowa-Nebraska Chapters 

OMAHA, NE, January 30, 2015. The former Co-Managing Partner of Silicon Valley cloud-based law firm Stommes Patil, LLP, has spun off and opened her own business immigration boutique! The Law Office of Julia L. Stommes, PLLC has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the field of business immigration law.

Recognized for over 20 years of invaluable contributions in her field, Ms. Stommes has found professional success with representing a variety of companies from start-ups to Fortune 1000 businesses in the areas of business immigration law. Her focus is on E-2 company investor visas, especially for European companies with subsidiaries in the U.S., and other work permit visas, such as H-1Bs, H-1B1s for citizens of Singapore and Chile, E-3s for citizens of Australia, and TNs for citizens of Canada and Mexico.

Ms. Stommes always dreamed of being an international lawyer and was thrilled when she discovered business immigration law as a practice when she started working in the Labor & Employment group at a large Dallas, Texas law firm. She earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, where she also worked in Washington, D.C. her final semester as an Intern for Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska. After working ten (10) years in Dallas, Texas, as a business immigration attorney for Jenkens & Gilchrist, Baker & McKenzie, and Gardere Wynne Sewell, she moved to San Francisco, California, and worked for Duane Morris LLP for one year. The entrepreneurial spirit of San Francisco inspired her to hang her shingle, and she had her own immigration law firm for the next seven years. Never one to resist a new endeavor, when Fisher Broyles, LLP asked her to become a partner, she was intrigued with the concept of a virtual law firm practice and became a Partner for two years, during which time she was awarded with Texas Partner of the Year. Wanting to tap back into the Bay Area start-up scene, Ms. Stommes started a Silicon Valley cloud-based firm with a former partner in 2014. As a result of their differing opinions on how to grow the firm, they parted ways, and the Law Office of Julia L. Stommes, PLLC was opened on November 1, 2014!

Ms. Stommes holds a bachelor’s degree in history cum laude with a minor in German from Southern Methodist University. A shining example of excellence in her field, she was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Northern California, Texas and Iowa-Nebraska Chapters.
