Robert Sigl Excels in Film Direction and Production

As a film director for Arachne Films, Mr. Sigl writes screenplays, selects talent and casts for films, and hires crew members, technicians, costume designers, and makeup artists for each production. Experienced in working with 3-D animators, Mr. Sigl directs actors and tells DOP how to move and place the camera to ensure the filming is perfect. An expert in teamwork, he oversees the entire production process and supervises post production. Ever eager to ensure each film meets his strict standards for excellence, Mr. Sigl also edits film and adds special effects. He works collaboratively with each film’s music composer and sound engineer to ensure sound mixing and quality is brilliant. Mr. Sigl is well known for providing a relaxed atmosphere on set and working well with others.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Sigl has been honored with various awards. He was inducted into Who’s Who in Germany and Worldwide Branding, a company which named him a VIP of the Year in 2013. He was also a nominee for the German Film Director Award and, recipient of the Best New Director award for his first feature-length film “LAURIN.” Mr. Sigl holds a film school certificate from University of Television and Film in Munich.

Currently, Mr. Sigl is working on a 13 million euro production called “The Spider.” The horror adventurer thriller stars Michael Brando and Malcolm MacDowell, with a soundtrack by Howard Shore. In the coming years, Mr. Sigl plans to expand his work to include productions in the United States. He has previously worked for American television channels and plans to make additional business connections in the film industry worldwide.
