Vladimir Ingerman Excels in Innovations
Amros Corporation features proprietary technology for optimizing the development of shale plays
HOUSTON, December 17, 2013, Vladimir Ingerman, President of the Amros Corporation, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the oil and gas industry.
Dr. Ingerman has more than 30 years of professional, world-wide experience in the energy sector. Over the years, he has gained extensive international and domestic experience in the evaluation of clastics and carbonates, conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons, the interpretation of open and cased hole logs and integration with geological, CCAL, SCAL, geophysical, and engineering data to build static and dynamic models. Dr. Ingerman has worked in many parts of the energy sector, from exploration to integrated field studies and from operations to data management, database optimization, and software development.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Ingerman was a vice president of Tyumenneftegeophysica, which was the second largest geophysical company in the former Soviet Union. Under his leadership this company designed, developed and implemented the first computerized system for log-data interpretation in the former Soviet Union. The system has identified perforation intervals, calculated reserves, and supported oil field development by most oil companies in Western Siberia - the largest oil region in the former Soviet Union - and it is still in use. The total number of wells processed by the system is around one million. While with Tyumenneftegeophysica he also made petrophysical zonations for Western Siberia that included several hundred oil fields and a dozen gas and gas-condensate fields. He has worked for Halliburton and Schlumberger in the United States and provided petrophysical consulting services for many oil companies, including Amoco, Shell International, El Paso, Mobil, Maersk Oil, W&T Offshore, Chaparral Resources, Union Texas Petroleum, Pemex, Pdvsa, Ecopetrol, Petrobras, and Petroecuador, among others.
He founded Amros Corporation and in five countries successfully tested a new technique for direct hydrocarbon identification using seismic data. In the last few years he has developed a technology for optimizing the development of shale oil deposits. When this Amros technology was applied to more than 100 vertical wells in the Permian Basin it demonstrated that for most wells, instead of fracking 10 to 12 stages it was sufficient to frack only 5 to 6 stages. This remarkable result could be achieved without decreasing production; in fact, because the Amros technology enables precise targeting of the best intervals, in the majority of cases production will be increased. With a potential ROI of 5,000%, the Amros technology has lower environmental impact than conventional technologies, significantly decreasing fracking water injection in shale formations.
Dr. Ingerman received a Doctor of Technical Science, as well as a Ph.D. in oil field development, and a Master of Science in geophysical methods. He is a member of the Houston Chapter of SPWLA, and has received government decorations in the Soviet Union. To give back to his community, he contributes to the SIRE – a therapeutic horseback riding program for people with special needs. In years to come, Dr. Ingerman will work to achieve international growth and expansion for Amros.
Amros Corporation is an oil and gas services company with proprietary technology for calculating production profiles and completions optimizations for shale oil deposits. In short, this means Dr. Ingerman has developed a new way of looking at the same data everyone else sees, but in a way that no one else can. This powerful and effective innovation was decades in the making. For more information about Amros Corporation, visit http://www.amros.us.
