Wendy I. Blanchard Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Blogging and Outreach

NEW YORK, NY, October 29, 2013, Wendy Blanchard, is a Retired Teacher, and Owner/Author of TheRxDiaries. She has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in blogging and outreach.

Ms. Blanchard writes a daily blog to communicate with others who struggle with addiction, mental illness, and eating disorders. Coming from a difficult childhood, she started using prescription medications at age 14 to ease her physical and emotional pain, and developed an eating disorder at about the same time. After being hospitalized and near death earlier this year, Ms. Blanchard received treatment in New York and California to help her return to a healthier lifestyle. She began TheRxDiaries blog as a way to share her story about her lifelong addiction, mental illness, and eating disorders, and her ability to overcome these personal challenges. Ms Blanchard's blog is now a "full service" website that offers resources, inspiration, spirituality, recipes, nutritional information, and much more. Ms. Blanchard also began a "clean and green" lifestyle during treatment, and has continued to practice this lifestyle, and share her "clean and green" living on her website.

In addition to her writing, Ms. Blanchard had worked for approximately 30 years as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, and Adjunct Professor. Besides teaching and writing, her areas of expertise include public speaking, mentoring, tutoring, cooking, and creating gluten/dairy free recipes for her website. She is also creating a "365 Day Recipe Desk Calendar," with her children that will be available for 2015. She is also training to become a Certified Recovery Counselor. She became involved in teaching because of her love of children, and the desire to make a difference. She is following this new chosen path for the same love of all fellow human beings, and the same desire to make a difference. Ms. Blanchard states that , "Every voice matters in these silent epidemics in our country." She is starting over, and finding her voice in order to raise awareness, and inspire others who have lost their way. Overall, she attributes her success to her spiritual beliefs, and the unconditional love and support from her three children, Matthew, Nicole and Olivia, her grand-daughter, Rose, her family, her friends, and her community. Wendy's children and grand-daughter are working with her at TheRxDiaries! It is "all in the family!"

Ms. Blanchard received a Master’s Degree in Reading from Long Island University, Orangeburg, NY in 1997, and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill, NY in 1982. When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family! Her favorite hobbies include listening to music, singing, dancing, cooking, exercising, reading, networking, and learning! In the years to come, Ms. Blanchard plans to become a motivational speaker to help others overcome their addictions, and to learn to live a new life in a happy, healthy, and successful environment. Ms. Blanchard hopes to establish a foundation called, Sister's Embracing Rebirth," where she dreams of bringing out the natural gifts and talents of other women in recovery.
