Dr. Lawrence K. Duffy is Versed in Neuroscience and Biochemistry

FAIRBANKS, ALASKA, January 31, 2014, Lawrence K. Duffy, Director of the Resilience and Adaptation Program at University of Alaska Fairbanks, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education oversight.

With 26 years of experience in his field, Dr. Duffy is known for his expertise in biochemistry and neuroscience. Daily, he is tasked with teaching chemistry, biochemistry, sustainability and managing students in the master's degree and Ph.D. programs.

University of Alaska Fairbanks features the resilience and adaptation program, which is directed by Dr. Duffy. The program encourages students to take unique approaches to solve complex contemporary problems using the most advance tools at their disposal. Essentially, qualified students that are accepted into the program are tasked with addressing issues of sustainability in the face of modern technological and biological changes in the environment.

Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Dr. Duffy became involved in his profession because he is a researcher at heart, combined with his Ph.D. in biochemistry, master's degree in organic chemistry, and bachelor's degree in chemistry, education was a perfect fit for him.

A networker at heart, Dr, Duffy is the executive director of the arctic division of the American Society for the Advancement of Science and is a member of the American Chemical Society. In the years ahead, he plans to expand his educational and research network.
