Jodi L. Rowlands, MPA Recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who

Jodi L. Rowlands Served as a Patrol Officer for Nearly 14 Years Before Becoming a Tireless Educator
DANIELSVILLE, PA, February 14, 2013, Jodi L. Rowlands, MPA, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice for Lehigh Carbon Community College, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in criminal justice.
Ms. Rowlands has 14 years of experience in criminal justice. Prior to teaching at Lehigh Carbon Community College, she provided exemplary service as a patrol officer for 13 and a half years at South Whitehall Township Police Department; she was the first and only female in the department. As a patrol officer, she did everyday patrolling and traffic enforcement, initial criminal investigation, dealt with the public, and was a DARE program spokesperson in the school system.
Her experience teaching DARE prompted Ms. Rowlands to enter the classroom. She endeavored to use her degree and expand her career, so Ms. Rowland vested her pension; she then retired in order to teach. Ms. Rowlands has been in education full-time for the past nine years. First she excelled as an instructor before moving up the ranks to associate professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College. She teaches six courses per semester, including: Introduction to Criminal Justice And Law Enforcement, Criminal Law, Criminal Investigations and Criminal Court Procedures. In addition, Ms. Rowlands serves on the Emergency Response Committee and the Environmental Health and Safety Committee.
Ms. Rowlands received an MPA in 1995 from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. In 1989, she earned a bachelor of arts in criminal justice from The University of Maryland. Ms. Rowlands is a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, the International Association of Women Police and Infragard. In 2012, she was distinguished with the Presidents Convocation Award and in 2007 she was recognized with a Faculty Excellence Award. Ms. Rowlands serves as a host of the Breast Cancer Awareness Run for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
