Nilesh Lal Honored for Excellence in Mechanical Engineering

HAYWARD, CA, August 5, 2015, Nilesh Lal, Engineering Manager of Alameda Health System, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Mr. Lal is a registered professional engineer with 15 years of experience. Over the course of his career, he has honed his expertise in contract negotiations, engineering design and facilities management. Mr. Lal brings his experience and skills to his role as engineering manager for Alameda Health System, a public health care provider and medical training institution. His role primarily entails overseeing engineering operations, facilities management and compliance for multiple hospitals. He sits on multiple disciplinary committees, deals with vendors, and handles new projects, construction, space planning and relocation. Furthermore, Mr. Lal maintains responsibility for budgeting, contract negotiations, union negotiations and anything that involves facility engineering within hospitals.

As an engineer, Mr. Lal understands the importance of discovering what a client needs. He has developed a unique talent for listening to people and understanding their needs, and will not try to sell a product that people will not have an immediate use for. Mr. Lal is committed to using his marketing skills to help people first and foremost. Prior to working in this capacity, he was a mechanic in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Through this position, Mr. Lal was hired on location to oversee HVAC staff, and later transitioned into facilities maintenance, where he became a stationary engineer and moved up from there. Mr. Lal worked as a chief engineer for Able Engineering Services, and has previous experience in manufacturing complexes, renovation projects, construction and office high-rise buildings.

Mr. Lal holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University de Costa Rica. He is affiliated with The Society of Professional Engineers, Institution of Diagnostic Engineers, and The American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lal intends to pursue a master’s degree and obtain more certifications in his areas of expertise.
