Tatyana Edwards-Behar Honored for Success in Immigration Law

SAN DIEGO, June 23, 2014, Tatyana Edwards-Behar, President, and Chief Executive Officer of her own law practice, named the Law Offices of Tatyana A. Edwards, APC, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her profession.

Ms. Edwards-Behar has 15 years of experience and in her current role. She is a successful U.S. immigration lawyer, licensed in California, and has expertise in finding creative precedents for clients. Her duties are working with clients with immigration issues, such as deportation defense, in the appellate court of the Ninth Circuit in California, Utah and Nevada. She is addressing family immigration issues and working with women in abusive situations trying to obtain citizenship through marriage, and providing these women independence from their abusers and citizenship on their own. She has represented hundreds of individuals from over 50 countries worldwide, many of whom she helped to legal status in the U.S. She provides individualized attention to her clients.

One of Ms. Edwards-Bahar’s cases, Fedunyak v. Gonzalez, 2007, was a published precedent opinion in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has gained admittance to the Ninth Circuit Court, the Central and Southern California Courts, and the Supreme Court of California. In the future, she intends to gain more international exposure, as well as make political contributions and assist Russian citizens in identifying with the way of life in the United States. Her ultimate goal is to bring awareness to the role of women professionals around the globe and how they can change the world.

She is successful because of her empathy for her clients, as she is an immigrant herself. Her career in the law developed due to her personal experience, having immigrated from Russia with her family in the 1970s. She identifies with the problems her clients are facing, as she has faced many of them herself.

Ms. Edwards-Behar has an impressive educational career. She earned a JD from the S.J. Quinney College of Law from the University of Utah and an MBA in finance from The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University. She is becoming certified in California to become a Certified Legal Specialist in Immigration Law. She also speaks several languages.

In recognition of all her achievements, Ms. Edwards-Behar was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding. She also maintains affiliations with San Diego Bar Association, the California Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Executive Committee. She is the former chair of the Russian Speaking Immigration Lawyers Group. Charitably, she supports the UJA-Federation of New York.
